I've been on Cipralex for about five weeks now, and the past few days I've found I can barely get through a whole cig without almost puking. Is this a common reaction? Will it last? Would be pretty cool if it did as I've had a tough time quiting and have been at a pack a day for six years or so.

Many feel ill when they start anti depressants.
Only Bupropion these days is used for smoking withdrawal as far as I know.
Smoking also decreases the effectiveness of this medicine.

Hmm, I looked up on wiki.
In clinical trials, medical nicotine replacement patches or gum, the tricyclic anti-depressant nortriptyline, bupropion (Zyban, or Quomem in some countries), and the nicotinic partial agonist, varenicline (Chantix in the U.S. and Champix elsewhere)proved to be effective medication/pharmacological quitting-aids.
But hey if it's working to stop with smoking go for it.

Now I'm starting to wonder if http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varenicline is useful for social anxiety
Acting as an agonist varenicline binds to, and partially stimulates, the receptor without creating a full nicotine effect on the release of dopamine. Varenicline also competitively binds to α4β2 receptors blocking the ability of nicotine to stimulate the central nervous mesolimbic dopamine system.
Maybe we can try to combine weak legally dopamine enhancers to create one powerful boost in dopamine. Side effects and tolerance always remain a problem though. :(
