Silent Laughing

Another symptom-comparison thread. I live with family and I can't let them hear me laugh. As a result, over the years I've perfected silent laughing. It probably reduces the laughter a little bit but I don't seem to have much choice.

Anyone else feel the need to do this?

edit: When I'm around others, I just make my laugh quiet and subdued. But I mean from within my room I can't let any sound of me laughing escape.

Im okay laughing around my family, but around friends or work I try not to, or at least keep it muffled. I found myself laughing the other day at work and when I realised I was, quickly stopped myself... It's not that I dont want ppl to see me laugh, its that im self concious of the sound of my laugh...

I went to a comedy gig last night and found it really strange. On the one hand I felt odd laughing didnt want my friends to hear me, but on the other hand i didnt want to be the weird girl not laughing at a comedy gig. cant win!
