Does the idea of answering phones make you nervous?
If it's any consolation I was VERY scared to answer the phones and page people when I started my job but eventually I did it....nervoulsy....and eventually it just became old hat. I answer the phones all the time now. Paging doesn't phase me at all.
I think that if you are afraid of this, you can overcome it.
