Specifically kids soccer? Or any other sport. My kids are registered for soccer and less then two weeks to go they still do not have a coach or an assistant coach. They cannot begin the season without one, and have asked someone to volunteer.
I'm considering volunteering but I have my doubts about how I would do. I'm reasonably in shape but I'm not athletic, I'm not a good leader, never played soccer and of course I have SA. My brother who is outgoing athletic and a good leader said he'll consider being the coach if I be the assistant coach but the problem is he might not be able to make it to all the games leaving me with all the responsibility sometimes, which has me utterly terrified.
Anyone been a coach before who would like to share their experience?
