It seems that nVidia has pulled ahead of ATI. Is this true, or am I just out of the loop? Which company will you be buying from next?

It's more a question of "who's the best this month"? :)

For June 2005, nVidia's 7800 GTX is the best.

I generally prefer nVidia anway--I like how you can set up application profiles in their drivers. It's useful when I want to make an older game use a newer feature like anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering.

my birthday was yesterday, my parents got me a radeon 9600 se. i hope its a decent jump from a geforce 440 mx.

It's not a huge jump, but it's a little bit better.

I don't let relatives buy me technology gifts... they don't have the time to research them enough to make a good choice. I ask for gift cards, instead :)
