Because it is a known fact that knowledge that comes from learning resides in a different part of the brain then knowledge that comes from experience. When you actually meet someone, it is not that you dont have questions to ask them, its because the fight or flight response is taking the blood out of your brain and putting it in to your muscles for a response.

Thats why you go blank.

You can memorize these things, when the time comes to use them, you will forget it.

First deal with the anxiety

If you are comfortable starting a conversation with a stranger, but want to be more entertaining and appear more interesting then i guess the book would be useful

It would only help me if we were both using the book together as a game. That would release some tension. But if it was just me using some of the ideas in the book and tryin to wing a conversation, then no.
