I don't even get how the average amount of words per day can be more then a couple of thousand. I probably only average a couple of hundred per day and I'm not exactly mute when I'm at work or home. The 20000 number is ****ing crazy high assuming you are awake for 16 hours that's a bit over 20 words a minute
I wonder how much this is effected by different speaking speeds. In my experience men talk a lot slower than women on average.
So it claimed women speak 20,000 words per day and men spoke 7,000, so, my math:
-At 3 words per second this means women were speaking for an hour and 50 minutes each day.
-If we think men speak 1 word per second that means men speak for an hour and 56 minutes each day.
