Some Eminem, Lady Sovereign, some Kanye West is alright.

My favorite though are The Lonely Island which are a trio of comedy rappers that Andy Samberg of Saturday night Live is in. If you watch the show many of the digital shorts have been music videos for their album "Incredibad" that came out a month or two ago. Here's the music videos for the album they've made so far. There's one more, "Space Olympics", but it isn't as good I think.

To name a few, I like Talib Kweli, Beastie Boys, Wu-Tang Clan, Kool Keith (especially Dr Octagon), Nas, Organized Konfusion (and Pharoahe Monch's solo stuff), and Public Enemy. Also, I really like the GZA/Genius album Liquid Swords.

Oh, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.

NWA, ICE T, A tribe called quest, Public enemy, outkast... ick don't get me started on little wayne and "urban pop" of today. Reducing rap and hiphop to bubblegum music for todays youth makes it 10000 times more annoying than anything they did in the 60's with rock music.

can't stand rap. I remember back in elementary schools we had all kinds of times were we had to do surveys for whatever reason, I can't count how many kids would come up to me and ask me to put a check by my favorite rapper, I could have just made something up but I liked being an *** so I would argue that I just don't like it at all.

I liked a lot of 2pac during my mischevious childhood too i dunno theirs some thing about his songs that hit close to home you know like Troublesome , Dear Mama all that shabang.

I don't really like the stuff that's out these days well with the exception of a few singles like Superstar by Lupe Fiasco and I'm Me by Lil Wayne.

A friend of mine introduced me to Lupe Fiasco. My favourite tracks are The Cool and Hurt Me Soul... also like the old-school female rap/R&B groups like TLC and Salt-N-Pepa
