I just read a cook book for what I am making and it usually works out well. I'm pretty useless without a cook book though haha.

Food Network?

Pretty much it, my mom has taught me a couple things here and there but that's all. I definitely need a recipe to make most things though.

I still don't know how to cook. I've never touched an egg, for example.

I don't really know how to cook. I've got the bare necessities... aka instant noodles down.

I suppose I'll have to ask my mom to teach when I've got time. I wouldn't mind teaching myself, but my mom doesn't trust me in the kitchen... I mean, I once managed to burn popcorn so can't say I blame her.

I enjoy cooking, that is, when I can actually get my hands on the right ingredients! Experimenting is fun and rewarding. Unless something does drastically wrong, it can't kill you! lol

I cook pasta very often and I try a different bottled sauce every time. I want to start making my own sauces one day.

I did. Mom made me bake my own birthday cake when I was 10 yo. Her instructions :"Read the box and follow the directions."

I learned to sew the same way.

Me: Mom, I ripped the seat out of these pants.
Mom: You know where the sewing machine is!
