Thought I was the only one. The only peers I was comfortable with in HS were my friends. Having to interact with other classmates is scary. I think that the fact that I don't see strangers on a regular enough basis for them to give us **** comforts me. I mean, when I run to the store I just throw on a random T-shirt and jeans. When going to school, I always dress up a bit more.
I think anywhere from your teens to your late 20's (as I am - go **** me), the concern of being looked at in a positive light amongst your peers is a big issue among SA sufferers. It's a real strain on our self-esteem and often disrupts our ability to make such an actual occurence that happens.
