Sigh, why do all these polls get Americanised, not everybody lives in America and 'Left', 'Right Conservative' and 'Right Libertarian' would work just as well outside of America, instead of naming parties which aren't political views anyway, just organisations.

I don't identify with any of them. I'm pretty much split down the middle of Conservative vs. Liberal. I'll be strongly conservative on one issue and strongly liberal on the next. (Politically, I'll never be happy~)

If I lean to either side, though, it would be Conservative.

When talking federal candidates, I usually prefer the Conservative Party in Canada and the Democratic Party in the U.S. (although this sometimes depends on who's running the show). Yes, like I said, I'm pretty split... :)

You're right. My apologies. It is a stupid poll. I know that a large majority of SAS members do not live in the US and should have 1. not made it a public poll. and 2. listed the choices in a different manner.

Hehe... making the poll public wasn't the best idea, indeed! ;)
Maybe you can request the mods to close this one, and make a new one using the frame of reference of this Wikipedia article?

I'd be glad to post in that thread! :D

Are you seriously in/going to Maui? That's pretty great. :clap
I try to go at least once a year. Usually around this time. I have relatives I stay with. Flying out in 2 days. Wont have much access, so I kinda wanted to streamline my profile, change my password etc. just to be safe who knows.

I think I will ask a mod to lock this one.

As an American, I am independent. I think they all suck and are horribly corrupt. They get paid insane salaries when it's really their much-lesser-paid staff who does the vast majority of the work and research. All the while they just stand up there arguing and blaming each other like a bunch of immature 12 year olds, getting minimal work accomplished but still get to take all the credit.

Oh well, since I'm here, I might as well post here too. If another thread turns up with a "worldwide" frame of reference, I'll post there too.

As an Italian, I have strong anti-fascist ideas. Exactly which political movements are commonly associated with strong anti-fascism (as opposed to in words only) in Italy is left as an exercise for the reader.

Oh great.

I think I'm probably liberal, although I don't pay attention to politics.

I'm socially liberal.

As far as economic policy goes.......well to be honest I don't know enough about it to feel that I can give an informed opinion as to what action needs to be taken. I'm no armchair economist. Asking me to choose who has the best economic policy is like asking a Klingon to choose his favourite episode of Sex and the City.

Socialist.
An actual socialist, not what the news seems to think is socialist.
