The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, The Cabin In The Woods (it isn't horror, it's a comedy), Silver Linings Playbook (it's a very good movie), I've heard Wreck-It Ralph is pretty good, Hotel Transylvania as well, Les Misérables (haven't seen it, it's a musical).

Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Take Shelter, Inception, Tangled, How To Train Your Dragon, Despicable Me, Shutter Island, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Buried...that's from last 3 years, and IMO all are very good movies.
