Well, those song names pretty much sum it all up don't they.
I guess I didn't realize there were so many because being sad, alone, and drunk is pretty common.

That's probably the main one..I try to avoid sad songs when I'm drunk and morose..they make me sad. Go figure. I like drinking alone most of the time, people tend to get on my nerves when they and I are pissed, or I get talked into going out and trying to get laid, which doesn't happen when I'm blindingly inebriated. :drunk Cheers!

Since when is being sad alone and having a few beers to drown your sorrows considered a vice. And by vice I'm taking it you mean an immoral bad habit.
I think a lot of us here like to have a drink when we're feeling especially down from our SA, let alone most of us are sad and alone most of the time.
I was just wondering what sad songs everyone listens to. If you don't listen to music or don't drink alcohol then you didn't have to post.
Sorry if that sounded rude, but I thought it was a little offensive to say you have other vices, as if to say I'm doing the wrong thing by being sad and alone..

Vice is a practice or a habit considered immoral, depraved, and/or degrading in the associated society

Society does see getting drunk, alone, which is what your original post said, as a maladjustment. Just a fact. I was trying to be funny when I alluded to the reality of other vices. I initially felt a zing when you questioned my being here. I felt judged. Anyway, I personally never meant my post to be construed as hurtful or judgmental. Just posting away, all in good measure.

Well I guess this topic is dead now.
I'll just get back to my music and beer now, regardless of what society thinks.

Did you say sad , drunk and alone ?

I just hope i don't make that a too regular habit. LOL

You've got a lot of songs dude. My variety consists mainly of a few red hot chili peppers, and coldplay.

RHCP have a song called 'desecration smile' the first line is "all alone, not by myself."

There's another song "I could have lied" the chorus goes :
"I told her, and
I showed her how,
but she struck me down
and I'm ____ed up now !"

To that I say : aye, aye cap'n !

@ OP, you're the only other poster I've ever seen who would put Haddaway on the same list as Type O lol. I'll follow "What Is Love" with "Black Number One" :yes.

Though if sad, drinking and alone, the first thing I usually play is Alice In Chains' "Would." That song is awesome for so many reasons.

My list would be too long, usually a lot of Linda Perry.

The whole of Breakfast in America by Supertramp, and It's Raining Again is good too. While I'm rarely sad, alone and drunk at the same time, I find the above cheer me up if I'm feeling low.

Yeah, this is another one I would have added to my list. Great song there.
Thanks for the replies guys :)
I'll have to check some of the other songs listed here later, I'm short on time at the moment (Rape Me - Nirvana can be added too). Someone is making me go to some concert tonight that I don't want to go to. I'll be drinking tonight that's for sure!
