They are my nemisis. I hate large gatherings. All the superficial talk about essentially nothing.
But I went to a party tonight and kind of enjoyed it. Of course, I am still paranoid that some of the comments I got from people were ambigous. Meaning, when a few people told me "it's good to see you here," I didn't take it literally. Rather, I took it as "can't believe you're actually out of your house." That is part of being afraid of others' opinions and thoughts of you, and a product of low self-esteem.
Oh well. Overall, it was a success. I left early, and hope that nobody calls me on it. I just left. Didn't tell a soul.
