It's lamentable how older actresses lose work in America after a certain age; this doesn't seem to be the case in western Europe. Catherine Deneuve is working as much as she always has and she's over 60. I know this is a familiar argument, but I'm bored with teenage idols who are winning serious awards before age 20. I am desperate to see mature women in films on the level of Ingrid Bergman in "Goodbye Again". Deneuve was far more interesting and beautiful at 55 than at 25 and she is still widely celebrated in France.
