Is it a good idea?

I recently started taking antidepressants and they're working. Now making changes to improve myself and my circumstances no longer seems imposisible. My biggest goal: I want to make at least one friend. But I don't meet many people (uni dropout, no hobbies or sports, have nothing in common with people at work). I'm considering volunteering at a local charity-run bookstore. I have the time, like reading and could use something other than fastfood experience on my resume.

Do you think this is good way to meet people?

It's a great idea! There's always interesting people volunteering. And it looks great on the resume.

Also, it's a hit with the ladies/dudes. Just as an added bonus.
