Anyone else dreading it? Usually I just binge on junk food to make myself feel better when I don't have a valentine. Which is like every year of my life. :|

I don't dread it at all, because I know nothings gonna happen. I never get a valentine, so why should I worry about it now. Beating myslef down won't help the situation. The last time I got a valentine was in elementary school, but back then it was mandatory for all the boys to give one to all the girls, and vica versa.

Was with my ex wife for 5 years, married for 1.5, now divorced over my SAD and panic attacks. So V day is not a fun day for me :(

Hahahaha! I remember doing that in elementary school too!

Now on to the question at hand:

I can't say I love or hate Valentines day.
I've never had a gf on that particular day, so I can't say I know what it is like to celebrate.

But I don't necessarily rage against VD (Valentine's day you pervs!) either.

Though I will say that I don't like going out on that day. Especially after dark.
I just feel like every where I go there are people saying "Look! Look! Look! He's alone."

I celebrated valentines day with my sisters and classmates and their boyfriends in college! we went to a Karaoke place they have exclusive(private) for groups of people who want to enjoy with themselves,we wore clothes with the theme "DRESS TO KILL", I'm a big girl so I don't know what dress would suit me... So i put on some black knee length boots with 4 inch heel, short denim skirt with laces and a black blouse with low neckline... I don't know what I look like... my younger sisters made me wear that outfit! I wanted to enjoy that night because my boyfriend just cheated on me on my face 2 days before valentines day!

The rest of the evening people gave me comments saying they like how I look and wish that they are as confident as I am wearing that outfit because it looked good on me!

I enjoyed my valentines day last year! wish i could do it again! ^_^:D But not the cheating part -_-

I'm not really dreading it, to me it's just another normal day. Only thing different is that I can alllow myself a few chocolates ^-^.. so I guess im looking forward to it in a way.

I don't have a problem with the holiday itself (even though I've spent every V-Day without a valentine), it's more of the commercialism that bugs me. I feel like all the advertisements on TV and all the decorations in stores and such are just too over-the-top. Valentine's Day is supposed to be about spending time with people you love, not about getting chocolates and roses.

Yeah I know Valentine's Day is "just another day", but it's like "rubbing salt in the wound".
Word. I'm not necessarily dreading it, because for some reason I find a morbid satisfaction in the self-pity I can indulge in on that day. I'm just sick of all the Valentine's **** everywhere, when I was a young child I loved it, even though I never had a sweetheart or even a Valentine. I just loved the pretty pink and red. Now it makes me nauseas, especially because there is a Valentine's 'Night in Paris' semi-formal dance at my school and I've been hearing about it all week. Really mawkish romantic festivities planned all around it...
