I was attending an outpatient anxiety program for social anxiety/phobia for several weeks until i had a violent outburst which led to me being sent into an inpatient unit for a day. Upon being discharged the doctors recommended that I seek out a different method from CBT and ERP called DBT or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Considering all this, do you think DBT would alleviate my social anxiety? I understand that DBT is used primarily for BPD and Bipolar but is it used for anxiety disorders as well?

It's not really an anti anxiety thing TBH, it's better for you if you have problems with emotion and stress.

I did DBT. We learned a lot of mindfulness that has helped me with anxiety, but its not an anti anxiety program.
