Loved it but preferred Tender is the Night.

Yes, I really liked it and, although I also enjoyed reading "Tender is the Night", I preferred "The Great Gatsby". I also like his short stories. His books don't seem to have dated very much and I like the humour in them.

Loved it! I love everything I've read by Fitzgerald. Would like to read Benjamin Button next :)

I had to read it in high school, and that was a long time ago, so I don't really remember if I liked it or not.

Never read it. Not even sure what it's about.

I'm not fond of books.

I had to read that in high school, and didn't much enjoy it.

I read it again a few years ago and liked it quite a lot.

I think one of the characters was from Louisville, old sport.

Compared to a lot of crap I had to read in hs, this wasn't bad.

I enjoyed it very much. How would you describe or label the emotional tone of the book?

Like catcher in the rye and lord of the flies I think it's a crime that they make highschool kids read it and focus on all the symbolism garbage. It really ruins the enjoyment of these books. They are awesome when you read them for enjoyment instead of whatever the teacher thinks they mean.

I didn't care for it when I read it in high school, but after reading it again last year I enjoyed it. I think its overrated though.
