Lovecraft mentions the Necronomicon in several stories (such as "The Call of Cthulhu") but it didn't really exist, and I don't think he wrote one. It was later on that some writers, after reading Lovecraft, took it upon themselves to write Necronomicons. I have no idea what might be in such books, never having picked one up.
