Remember those incredibly powerful photos that surfaced documenting South African violence in the nineties? That photo with the child being stalked by a vulture?
Yeah, they're making a film of it. With the guy from Friday Night Lights and Ryan Philippe. I can't even imagine it, the whole point of why those pictures were so powerful is that they documented unspeakable atrocities and death and violence and how on earth do you drag a Hollywood movie from that?
