Okay at my mission trip we did this thing everyday evening where we would thank God for various things about the day. I think I could do this on SA spirituality board, it will help us see the positive things in our lives. God doesn't have to be the Christian God, it can be whatever God you beleive in. Anyway I hope this is alright & I don't get in trouble for it.

For today thank you God for people who make me laugh and who can see the humorous side to life, and for laughter itself, which is such a medicine.

I'm grateful for having a new job that I love and inner strength to handle some of the harder parts of it.

Thank you God for the jerkoffs who tailgate me, because they teach me patience and forbearance!

Thank you God for the insomnia I had last night, because I got a lot of reading done.

Thank you God for my poverty, because it's forced me to reevaluate what's important in my life.

Thank you God for the students I have who just never seem to "get it", because it helps me realize that our value lies in being, not in doing everything right.

Thank you God for the lawyers and politicians, because I need someone to make fun of.

Thank you God for Spam (the food). Recycling is good for the environment, and if it's fried you can hardly tell that you're ingesting horrible crap.

Thank you God for 1st graders. They are adorable.

Thank you God for that feeling you get when you can sleep in, and you can snuggle under a warm blanket and every muscle in your body is completely relaxed.

Thank you God for the billion phone calls I have to make tomorrow. I need the practice.

Thank you God for giving me infinite chances to learn and grow, even it seems like a real pain at the time. :)

Thank You for giving me my job. I said that before. It deserves repeating. I have never done anything before that has made me so happy.

Thank You for the children I get to work with! Sometimes I'm not so sure they aren't the ones teaching me!

Thank You for rainy days, warm blankets, antidepressants, the people around me who care (including on this board!), my parents, for my health, my mind, and my life. Oh, and at the risk of sounding stupid, thank You for the invention of the Olympic bar so I can do barbell cleans. :lol

hmmm.....

Thank you God for being there for me when I needed you most and not giving up on me (an understatement).

Thank you God for what you have shown me not just in the last six month, but in the last six years when you showed me who You really are and what You can do.

Thank you God for the experiences, good and bad, that have made me the person I am today and for the opportunity to grow to be the man You want me to become.

Thank you for smiles, summer days, Paxil, naiveté, good running shoes, my job, and friends with whom I can confide.

I wish to thank God. Without him, I would not be the person I am today.

He pulled me out of the shell that I refused to get out of. It's nice to know that when I am in doubt or depressed, I can always put my trust and faith into God, for he is the embodiment of perfect love.

I think that this old thread deserves to be bumped! :)

Thank you God for my online friends who continue to encourage me when I want to give up.

Thank you God for giving me a family who is willing to put up with me when I am far from my best.
