Terrell Owens suspended

Philadelphia Eagles WR Terrell Owens has been suspended indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team. This stems from an interview on ESPN in which T.O. said he agrees with former WR turned commentator Michael Irvin that if Brett Favre was the Eagles QB, they'd be undefeated...a direct jab at Donovan McNabb.

Really, he didn't say anything THAT horrible that warranted suspending the best player on the team. He got blasted for the Favre comment, but when it comes down to it, what he said was if they added a great player to the team, then the team would be better. OH MY GOD... imagine the chaos that would ensue if my favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings, actually implimented that strategy.
It wasn't just that, he also called the organization classless. You can only publically criticize your employers for so long before they strike back.

Besides, at this point I don't see how Favre is a better option than McNabb, but that's beside the point.

Throughout this whole ordeal I admit that I have gained a new respect for Donovan McNabb. Being a Cowboy fan, I'm required, by law, to hate him, but it is getting very hard not to respect him for the way he has handled this whole situation. My hat goes off to him.
I actually rooted against the Eagles until they drafted McNabb (who got booed, of course). I don't think people outside of the Philly area realize how much he's done for that team. I wonder why not one Eagle defended McNabb through this entire thing. It kinda bothers me.
