Oh man. What a morning.

You know those moisture absorber "dehumidifier" packs that you can buy? The ones where you tear the top off and leave them sitting in damp places and they absorb moisture? Well, I had the bright idea to put one in the door of my mini fridge. It's been there I don't know how long. So long I wasn't even really paying attention to it anymore.

Well, this morning, I was getting something out of my fridge (and my fridge is up on a shelf kind of high. Like at eye level. Somehow, I pulled that thing out of there and it hit the ground and splattered all over the ****ing place. Which really sucked because I have my chest freezer there in the same corner and that goopy stuff that it turns into when it absorbs the moisture went all over my feet, legs and all over the side of the chest freezer and all underneath it.

And I was barely awake. I was not in the mood to clean this crap up but I knew it was a royal mess as soon as it happened. I've never messed with that stuff. I usually just throw them away and open a new one. Well, it turns out that the goop that went on the side of my chest freezer has kind of a greasy texture and doesn't seem to be wanting to dry. I've scrubbed it over and over with paper towels and it still felt greasy. I finally wiped it with a bunch of TP and that seemed to mostly take it off. But now I noticed my pants have these splotches on them and they don't seem to be going away. I guess I will end up putting them in the washer if I can ever get near it (my dad has already started doing laundry. Don't even ask me what the heck he washes every day. Seems like you'd have to run out of things to wash eventually if you do laundry every day of the week).

I bet it's still wet under the chest freezer and there's not much I can do about it because it's full of food and too heavy to really move. I think some of that greasy stuff stayed on my feet and rubbed off on the bathroom floor because now it feels slippery. 👿

So yeah. I think I won't be putting another one of those in there. I want to throw the whole fridge across the room, TBH.

lol and on my day off my tv screen gets burned in (At least I think it is, it could be the backlight?) Wonderful, honestly it's charming how life always seems to just be a rude cat that just shoves all my stuff on the floor. Been on the fence of buying a 4k Monitor since forever.
I'd better just stay in bed for a while. Just when I thought the worst of today had already happened, I ran over my middle toe with my desk chair. They obviously never thought people would use these things without shoes on when they designed them. OW!

I spent a hundred dollars yesterday on an electric toothbrush just so I could get enough points for my wife to get a couple of sets of the cutlery she likes at the supermarket. I think it might have been cheaper for me just to buy the cutlery.

My bottom lip is a little red...Great. I must've picked at it a bit too much. Lol I usually don't pick at it as much anymore but I did a few days ago and it's a pretty visible red spot. My lips are prone to getting dry even if I drink a lot. I should've used my chapstick.
Ever since before thanksgiving, near the edge of the shopping center parking lot, there has been a homeless guy who has laid a mattress on top of a transformer utility box to sleep on on most days. It's underneath the canopy of a large Juniper tree. So I guess he gets good shade and covering from that from the elements. Although I imagine there's some danger to that sleeping on top of it constantly.
It's very possible that I'm getting too old and set in my ways to travel. I like to have everything the way I want it - and where I want it. I need exactly the right type of paper towel, exactly the right type of tea bags and exactly the right amount of milk in my tea. Getting old is a pain in the neck. As my father said - there's no future in it.

I woke up in this fancy place with the air-con too cold and nothing is where I want it. I'm going to a cheap joint.

Came back from the dentist to get my braces tweaked after about two months of not going out at all. I was led to my room by the woman who was going to check my braces, and there was a lone brown cricket jumping around on the hard white floor. I had to squash it for her, as she was slightly panicking. "Kill it, kill it!" 👞🦗

Tomorrow, I have to go again, this time for a dental cleaning appointment. Then on monday, again, I have to go out to get some x-rays of my teeth at a different place. 😐
My bra strap somehow came off my hook at work today. It made me mad cause I literally tried to put it over my shoulder 3 different times until I could get to the bathroom to fix it. FML. Lol I think it's time for a new one.

I don't think I've gone one week yet at this new job without something awkward happening.
The large computer fan has been randomly whirling at max speeds intermittently like a leaf blower. Hopefully it's just because it's dusty.

Is it a desktop computer? If so, is it the CPU fan?

Desktop. I think it might be the case fan. But I'm not sure.
In Bangkok. Jesus what a city- this place is huge and completely overwhelming. Been here for a couple of days and already feel like I've been here for weeks. The one thing that Youtube fails to capture is the smell. Reminds me of Jakarta - even near the entrance to their best malls the stink of sewerage from under the footpath.

If it's the case fan, it might just be dying but that is not the usual way case fans die. A PC fan that's actually ramping up it's speed usually means it's having to work harder to keep the PC cool (for some reason). If that's unusual on your computer, it could be that the settings for the fan control got changed somehow. But that's fairly unlikely since it's (I think) usually in the BIOS.

If you have some new software on your PC, it could be more demanding and causing more heat. The fan also might be more dusty but I think it would have to be really dusty (Like hairball dusty) to make much difference in the speed of the fan.

If the fan is simply dying, the symptom is usually a noisy bearing. This could possibly sound like it's speeding up but it's actually slowing down. But they usually don't last long once they get to the point to where they're that noisy.
So, I just met my bf's brother's girlfriend and her mother. Really, I just met her mother. She was...surprisingly nice. I thought she'd be another person in trouble with the law. Like 95 percent of people I meet around here. 🙄 Her daughter seemed kind of shy like how I used to be. He just got back today after not being here at all for like 4 or 5 days and he's already going back to her again. I love him having this new gf. One of the best things that's happened since I moved over here other than getting my work bonus and the cat I got. 😆

The house is super clean now. So, I guess he'll clean for her but no one can really clean for me. That's oh so typical. I can't make anyone do anything but they sure will do it for other people. Lol The house was already mostly clean but it looks better now.👍

I guess I'm getting invited over to eat but I already ate. I might go over there but I don't know if I really want to. Maybe I can go over just to talk to the mother. She was pretty nice and she was smiling. I prefer talking to someone around my age but I gave up on that like 3 years ago. It's fine to be by myself.

I think it might indeed have been the cpu fan. It's hard to tell. I did went inside it to clean it, and heatsink did have little hairballs and a layer of dust on it's edges. So I guess that was dirty enough. Hopefully that was the reason. Now it's been fine so far ever since I cleaned it. I took out the little silver round CR battery and put it back into the motherboard I guess to "reset it". But then it won't booted afterwards the first dozen tries, which freaked me out a bit. Since I have all of my stuff backed up recently, once I heard it making noises recently, I wasn't as panicky about it.

I agree, I guess i doesn't make sense for the case fan to speed up, since I dunno if my computer is capable of controlling a case fan speed like this. It's just a generic cheap case fan that came with the computer. Not the sophisticated enthusiast ones. When it first happened, a literal plume of dust kicked up like a geyser.😅

I am not sure about the CMOS battery situation. I have been lucky enough to never have to mess with the CMOS battery in any of my PCs. But I think if you remove that battery with the PC turned off and unplugged, it clears all of your settings. Which might not be good since those settings were likely put in at the factory. Like I said though. I'm not sure. Is it booting normally now?

I did change my CMOS batteries about half a year ago or so but I left my PC powered up and was just real careful (I don't recommend that but I was nervous about it not booting).

I got dressed and ready to go for no reason cause apparently his mother is tired so I guess I won't be going over there and talking to her. The very few girls I tried making friends with in the past all made excuses. And it rarely happens where any girl ever talks to me. I can even try and it still won't happen. Don't know if it's an excuse with her mother, though. Probably not. She probably really is tired.

I kind of wanted to go to do something different but I'm fine staying here.
I've been getting back into drinking Chai again lately. Which brings along with it the fact that I'm having to buy Splenda again (I know Stevia is a thing and is supposed to be better but I like Splenda better). At least I have gotten myself used to using unsweetened almond milk for it. It kind of helps with my obsession with always needing to have something in my stomach. I think that is a leftover from my nicotine addiction. Ever since I stopped smoking all those years ago, I always have to be eating or drinking something. Otherwise, I feel like I'm starving to death.
