Can I make a suggestion for a new forum. An adults only forum which need password for entry. So we can post about private private stuff, so it all stays in one forum.
I dont care for myself, I am just trying to suggest a place to post about things of a sexual nature.

We are rated as a family friendly site, though.
Adult discussions can't be put there. The Relationship forum was as close to one as we could get.

With all due respect MM, how is an adult password section any different then the current GLBT section. Depending on whom you ask, GLBT, isn't something families would decribe as "friendly" for their kidlets....

While I can't say for certain because I'm not a member, but I imagine the GLBT section is intended as a place to discuss relationship and social issues specific to that group without fear of harassment or of being outed. The password serves a very different purpose than simply keeping the young 'uns out.

Having said that, I wouldn't be opposed to an adult section.

I am a member of the GLBT forum and that is exactly what it is. It isnt a sex forum.

I wouldnt mind the password adult section either but I dont think its ever going to happen. Just sayin'.

I am leaving (requested for my account to be banned) because i have had enough of these horrible posts. I believe this kind of thing is personal, and theres no need to explicitly "debate" these things in front of anxious people like me, who have never had any experience, and get embarrased/feel worthless whenever they hear all about it.

I thought i could be here, and escape the pressures of life, and perhaps talk to people with similar s/a problems.

But this is just ridicuolus. I'd be better off being isolated in real life, because then i am able to escape.

Don't take it so personally. The reason I would think for wanting one is because of people with a lack of experience to have somewhere to talk about it and so not worry as much. Getting worked up because of your own experience just effects you. I also block out alot in conversation and on places like this where it's about sex and think, I just don't want to hear about that. If there was a private forum, you don't have to see it or post there. There are alot of issues that anxiety causes and it's not nice when you feel alone in it it'd be useful to have somewhere to talk about it. It's not like she's asking for a porn section... come on now.

I can not understand his thought process. I wish he would have at least stayed and kept away from SAS for awhile. Maybe he would have felt differently in a few months and could've came back to utilize the many benefits SAS has.......

Yeah I guess he can never come back now but he should have thought about it, it's not like if that discussion is going on someone is putting a gun to your head and forcing you to log on and look at it. Some people need to relax a little and think. We all aren't out to get each other, this is suppose to be a support site.

I can understand why the admin dosen't want it thought, don't agree with it, but it seems that is their final decision whenever it is brought up.

Does anyone use the GLBT forum? It says that only one thread is made in there. I was going to respond to down, but he's banned now so it doesn't matter. Like I said before, I wouldn't mind having one. I think it's one of the causes of anxiety in relationships or getting into one because people, including myself most likely aren't sure what to do or how to act in those situations. I think it would help a lot of people, but whatever I guess.

I think one of the reasons that sex causes so much anxiety is because no one really talks about it. And the less it's talked about, the more anxiety inducing it becomes.

I only want a forum as such, so that we can be more liberal in what we say, without being locked

I am not into porn or wish to talk dirty and know everybodies business.

I particularly wanted somewhere to get advice on enriching my marriage in an adult manner with maturity not smutiness.

I lean more on the side of prudence.

I know if such a forum were allowed there would be some areas in there I would not venture.

There is a hidden forum that you dont see on the main page unless you are a member. And I still dont see what the GLBT forum has to do with this subject? :con

It's got nothing to do with the subject just as an example that it's a forum that's completely private. Because the reason we don't have a forum in which you can talk about that is so it's a family friendly site, if the page was completely private (as the glbt page is) though it's not just out there for people to see.

I hate what occured with downbutnotout. It might have prevented that from occuring.

I'm sorry that downbutnotout made the choice he did, but then it was a choice. If the mere discussion of a segment of the site that he'd never see was enough to push him away, then he was ready to be pushed away. I think we run this site out of fear too often as is. Support, to be effective, can't always be comfortable for the most uncomfortable among us.

I think the fear is that it'll turn into something like chat does. You could run a private tasteful adult section but in practice from what i've seen in attitudes about sex and women in particular around here it would not probably work out without strict moderation. Don't think the mods want that headache.
