i havent been coming around as much as i used to.

id just like to let everyone know that im still sober, no relapses. im working on myself with the help of medical professionals.

im feeling great.

thats awesome, odun.
keep at it and don't give up. Quitting alcohol was the best thing i ever did for myself.
Now i'm the one in control, not alcohol, and and it feels good.

That's great! :) Did you pick up any new hobbies?
no new hobbies. but i am able to read a lot more.

it is amazing how much free time you have after you quit drinking.

i had almost seven months with no use and relapsed....now i have four months sober ....its very hard to stay clean for me...just remember every day clean is a miracle :)

I have been sober 6 months now. By sober I mean I haven't drunk more than 3 beers when I'm going out (or watching a game with a friend), which is rather rare anyways.

Congratulations Oden! For me staying sober (I've got 9 months now) is truly still a one-day at a time experience. I'm glad you got help, having support has made my sobriety a lot easier.

another 'triumph': ive been regularly attending a support group and ive actually spoken in the group (which is huge progress for me)

If I had a reason to stop (a significant girlfriend, for example), I'd probably cut my drinking by 3/4 or almost stop. But I haven't had any luck finding anyone. I've had a lot of time to myself lately and it feels impossible to avoid alcohol when you're so lonely.
