Have any of you read this book or seen the dvd?

If so what did you think of it?
Ive read some of the book and watched the dvd and i realise how much my anxiety has to do do with my status. I have no job which makes me feel inferior to everyone who is employed.

I saw this book and took a look at the back and it wasn't quite what I thought it was going to be about. I thought it was going to be anti-consumerism, but it seemed like it was making the point that money buys happiness/life or something....I may be wrong, I only looked at it briefly.

The book lets you decide that for yourself i guess its nutural. I think it leans slightly towards anti -consumerism though.

"This is a book about an almost universal anxiety that rarely gets mentioned directly: an anxiety about what others think of us; about whether we're judged a success or a failure, a winner or a loser. This is a book about status anxiety."
