I've been watching a lot of this guy's videos and it's been helping me learn a LOT about connecting with others. It isn't about social anxiety, but he teaches you the basics of communicating, socializing, and connecting with others. He makes a lot of interesting points and I would really recommend spending some time watching his videos.
One point he brought up really hit home with me. I know that I'm the type of person who often gets caught in awkward silences when I try to socialize with others. Talk about the other person. It's not about you, it's about THEM. Ask questions and be sincere. People will like you if you take a sincere interest in who they are. How? What? When? Where? Why? Ask away.
Sometimes we feel like people dislike us and ignore us. Maybe our problem is that we get too hung up on ourselves, the "me" monster, and don't take enough of an interest in who they are. Just a thought.
Let me know what you think...
