Someone posted a thread today with a title like 'getting expelled from school due to social anxiety' and I though I didn't read the thread, I realized that the thread title was what had happened in my life.

One needn't actively be disruptive to get into tons of trouble.... one can just sit extremely, anxiously still:

- not showing up to court (having to go to court for not getting smog check/registration/renewing license)
- not asking for academic recommendations
- not getting previous employment verification
- not responding to people
- not turning in forms or reports
- not sending thank you cards
- not sitting close enough to people to seem interested
- not leaving apartment for a week
- avoiding eye contact with plants due to anxious guilt so they die

Popeet! I haven't seen you around for a while :>

Let's see...

- not showing up to court (having to go to court for not getting smog check/registration/renewing license)

Thankfully I haven't had to go to court.

- not asking for academic recommendations

Check.

- not getting previous employment verification

Check.

- not responding to people

Check.

- not turning in forms or reports

Check.

- not sending thank you cards

Check.

- not sitting close enough to people to seem interested

Check.

- not leaving apartment for a week

Check. Only a week?! Bahahahahaha.

- avoiding eye contact with plants due to anxious guilt so they die

~Check. I don't want to look at them when they're judging me because I haven't watered them(or if they look extra judgemental that day).

Fortunately, my anxieties about fines/jail and not getting work done win out. As for the rest...

Hi :) Good to see you too!

- not leaving apartment for a week

Check. Only a week?! Bahahahahaha.
Ha. So... what is the longest you've holed up in your apartment?

Like when they're side-eyeing you and curling up like 'ugh' and trying to get all underneath your downward stare.

It's not like this or anything:

It's more subtle....?

Anyway, I tell people 'I will avoid you if I feel inadequate' and that goes for plants, too.

Thank you for validating this list.

I have never been to jail, myself. Not even while protesting things. I have just been lucky. Have you?

Which ones have you done?

Do you have anything to add to the list?

I have no idea. I don't want to know.

Yeah, that's when they're watching me dance.

Cool plants!

I'm guilty of the following.
- not responding to people
- not sending thank you cards
- not sitting close enough to people to seem interested
- not leaving apartment for a week

Oh, Poppy, Poppy! :)

I'm guilty of:
- not asking for academic recommendations
- not responding to people
- write but not send thank you cards
- not sitting close enough to people to seem interested
- not leaving home for a week or two

I just threw out most of my houseplants last week. Instead of avoiding eye contact with them, I ended up with tunnel vision when walking past them. I never even saw them drooping from thirst/neglect. :teeth
