A sad movie can have me upset for an entire evening, and violent movies give me nighmares, so i tend to avoid both.

My movie collection is human interest, drama's, mysteries and comedies.

oh man, I can cry a river when I watch sad movies. Some of them are
Tuck Everlasting
A Walk To Remember
The Other Side of the Moon (I'm pretty sure thats what it's called)
Titanic (lol)

There's probably tons more, I just can't think of them... These are the only movies fresh in my memory..

The Deer Hunter is pretty sad. It's definitely not one suicidal people should watch.
:agree
The scene where Walken's character shoots himself is so sad.

Another movie I think is kinda sad is Boys Don't Cry. It's such a dark story and sad because it's a true story and that girl died a horrible death.

Exorcist 3..i don't know why..it just left me depressed at the end.

I don't like to watch sad movies alot, so i limit them.

I absolutely agree that Grave of the Fireflies is one of the most depressing movies I have ever seen. Period.

Other sad movies I like:
American Beauty, Big Fish (these have been mentioned)
The Sixth Sense has made me cry more than once.
Also, the end of Return of the King
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
E.T.

I LOVE these both:
"AI:Artificial Intelligence", so sad.
"Mystic River" so, so, sad.
