I seek your help and I wish you could help or even provide a bit of guidance/advice after hearing my story.

A bit about me, I'm a 27 year old male.

In high school I was a VERY SOCIAL person, hung around the popular crew, partied, everyone knew who I was. It all changed when I went to University and started to get bad grades, and eventually dropped out which is when I got really depressed and started to develop SAD symptoms. I have had different levels of SAD ever since and it seems like I have become accustomed to it, but now I really want to put in effort to get rid of this mental disease.

Whenever I talk to someone I don't know or do know somewhat I ALWAYS tend to look down or pull out my phone and pretend to play around with it just so I don't have to look at the person when I talk to them, because if I look at them I get thoughts and my heart starts to race, however when I talk to my wife I am perfectly fine. I understand that CBT maybe the best option for me. I have never been on any medication for SAD.

What are some helpful tips I can try??
