That's my cherished childhood memories down the drain.

I wonder how KFC's public image will recover after this disgrace?

Nearly as bad as Jimmy Saville and as for Saville the BBC were made aware of his activities BEFORE commissioning Jim'll Fix It

I used to think he was funny when I was a kid and those gradual paintings were brilliant to watch unfold.
But I haven't forgiven him since his version of Stairway to Heaven and really he should've gone to jail for that anyway.

He does seem to be particularly unrepentant.

On the news today were reported two unduly, some might say, lenient decisions: (1) the judge ruled that Harris would not be charged with having child porn on his computer (some people get years in prison just for that alone) and (2) his victims can not seek compensation from him. Is this because of his advanced age? And if so, what happened to everyone being equal before the law? Or is that just aspirational, something to aim at?

Also, the decision on which sentences should be concurrent and which consecutive wasn't explored in any depth and just comes across as random or arbitrary. Concurrent sentences just encourage criminals to commit more crime as after a moderately serious crime the criminal has nothing to lose and everything to gain from committing more lesser crimes. An example is an armed robber who violently resists arrest and injures many police officers. He'll only serve time for the first crime. As an aside, it is strange, but armed robbery using moderate violence or just threats with a deadly weapon, not premeditated murder, seems to be the UK's most serious crime as the former regularly incurs sentences of 20+ years whereas many murderers' 'life sentences' end in 10-15 years. This is puzzling.

PS: I'm not saying lock him up and throw away the key, as many people are today, but there should be more transparency and consistency in sentencing and in the CPS's decision to basically 'pardon' Harris from some crimes and the court to 'excuse' him from compensating his victims. This is journalists' job to pursue and investigate but they have not excelled in that regard in this case.

This is a shame.
