Im 26 and have had social anxiety for about 15 years, in the last 2 years... i had a manic episode and ended up in the hospital... then my father passed away from cancer at the age of 56.

I have been working on exposure therapy by talking to people at work and explaining my situation.... there's a 22 year old female that i have had a crush on since she started 1.5 months ago.... so after that long, i was able to build up the courage to talk to her.... I even told her i had a crush on her. i think me having that crush on her is what helped me slowly but surely change my way of thinking. i was so energized after i talked to her. i complemented her and she said thanks.... so it went as good as i was expecting.

It wont be awkward for me tomorrow since it was, more of a way for me to express what i was feeling. i just had to get it out there.

now i feel like i can approach any woman and be smooth as silk...
