Despite my anxiety I've reactivated my facebook account & have been in touch with some old friends. I've been hiding from them for just over 2 years so it's a step. I've not met up or anything as this is all recent but it's a positive attempt on my part I believe

if you actually meet up with some of them that would be a major step foward and will take balls. I still do not have facebook.

Awesome! I found totally upping my social life, over many years, has totally boosted my self confidence. I don't actively avoid people anymore, now I avoid people only when I don't have enough time to talk to them. So keep it up!

0-60 Reconnection

Thanks all!

So I'm sitting in my room chillin' chatting online with some SAS friends when my mom calls my name. 2 old friends of mine are in my backyard, an unannounced visit. Apparently facebook wasn't fast enough. So I now have to chill with them, no excuses at all. It was alright though. I'm not a pro a conversation but I managed, & this despite still being out of meds as noted in my other thread. Now we're supposed to chill again on Friday. I'm literally going from as little interaction as possible to full on sessions, it's quite intense. 0-60 all because I reactivated my facebook. Now I've got to try to stick with it rather than hiding out again. We'll see how this goes
