Random Thoughts and Observations You Had Today

What Are You Thinking About Right Now? and Random Thought of The Day were recently merged because of how similar they were. I don’t think many people saw a difference between them, but some people might think of one as being for your current thought and one as being for a random thought you had that day.

I’m making this to replace Random Thought of The Day in a way that makes it more different to What Are You Thinking About Right Now? and it is in Just For Fun.

If you thought something weird/random like “I wonder how many drops of water it takes to fill a bath“ or “Why don’t rolls of wrapping paper have a little metal cutter like rolls of foil?” you can post it here. :)

I've been seeing more cars with their emergency blinkers on the interstate and I saw two of them in town with theirs on sitting on the side of the road Friday. Must be this whacko weather.

Probably the wind if it's as windy there as it is here. It's a lot more noticeable in a boxy shaped vehicle at higher speeds.

Yea, probably. My car has been fine so far. 😆

Yeah, I don't really notice it in either of my cars either. My truck and my wife's SUV it's definitely noticeable though. The box trucks at work get blown all over the place by wind gusts, especially when they're empty. I guess cars are more aerodynamic and lower to the ground.

There's been some nights lately when I'm driving straight into the wind at work the truck won't even get above like 60mph.

Yeah, lots if big rigs have been blown and tipped over to their sides lately on the freeways here due to the freaky strong winds lately. I've always thought those are too heavy for it to happen, but apparently not.

More weight helps, but a box or box trailer is like a big sail catching the wind.

So I was in Costco the other day and happened to walk by the Bose bluetooth headphones they have there. I made the mistake of putting them on. So much more comfortable than the ones I have it was like night and day. Especially since I got new glasses, my headphones have been squishing the hell out of my right ear (maybe it's slightly bigger than my left or something). No amount of adjusting the glasses or the headphones helps.

Anyway, I was kind of wanting the Bose ones but then later I did a little research and I think you need the Bose app to use the ANC. Which pretty much ruins the whole idea of them for me because I only use my headphones with my Windows PC. I thought ANC was built into headphones and you just have to press a button but it seems like Bose needs to be different. Probably most of the price is for the ANC so I guess that's a no go.

I'm considering trying to mod my Jlab ones with some more comfortable pads off of Amazon but I worry about ruining them because I have no idea how to get the pads off of them or whether or not I'd be able to get them back on. They don't seem to be made to be taken apart. So I would only risk it if I had a pair I like better or if the pads completely fell apart. The only reason I'm so dedicated to the Jlab ones is I already have them and the battery life is 50+ hours and the sound quality is perfectly acceptable. Anything else I could afford, I'd be taking a big chance on sound quality.

Every time I happen to finally find a product that best works for me, they will be discontinued permanently within a year. And then replaced with something that doesn't. And then that replacement product becomes permanent that stays forever and ever.
I must love grapefruit flavored and scented stuff cause I got some grapefruit scented sanitizer wipes the other day. I didn't even know these existed. Must be new. 🤣

And I just downed an entire 32 ounce bottle of grapefruit juice I got from the gas station within like 30 minutes.
Whenever I see something cute on the internet, like a furry animal or a fat cat, I go "aww" and make these possibly annoying cooing sounds. Every. Time.
I was in the bathroom at work and noticed the faucets that turn on automatically when you put your hand under it seemed to come on by itself. No one was standing there. I saw it on then it turned off and then on again right in front of my eyes. Lol At first I was confused but then I was thinking it must've just been messed up.

I don't like those faucets and wonder why they still even have that kind. 😆 But there are two others in the same bathroom that weren't like those so I just use that kind, which is better anyways.

In theory (I guess) it's more hygienic since everyone who uses the sink to wash their hands doesn't have to touch the handles (thus no need to worry about bacteria or whatever building up and being spread). As long as it works right, I'm fine with it. I've never seen them not work right but I suppose it happens.

I just turn it off with my wrist when I'm done. Yea, I've never seen them not work right, either. Lol

I remember my mom and one of my aunts use to have a knack of stealing big stacks of paper towels from these kinds of dispensers from restrooms, as she just quickly cramps it all in a bag she carries. I never knew who started doing so, and one of the copied the other. Apparently my mom still does this nowadays according to her husband. He tells me they have 2 full large sized garbage bags worth of it just sitting on the garage. From a person who now lives in a multi-million dollar home and owns several other properties that costs more.

Part of me really wishes she would try running for the council again for her town, and then someone catches and takes a footage of her stealing paper towels. That would be.... pretty fun.

Irresponsible spending plan: what if... Instead of any delivery, I just get food to go, but all at once in a day and then just stuff it all in the fridge like some sort of deranged shopping trip. Yea, no.

I've always been very fond of a good quality paper towel myself. I guess it's just too hard for her to resist.
That nice young GP the other day was kind enough to give me a script for some Lorazepam. God I wish I could feel like that all day every day - no fear, hesitation or worry. No over-thinking. You just act.
