We're supposed to get a pretty bad snowstorm here with possible power outages. I went to Rural King earlier to buy a generator and every single one was gone except the most expensive one that was $999. They had like six of those. The next one down was $699 and they're all gone and everything below that was also gone. So I guess between $699 and $999 is where people draw the line and would rather sit in the dark than pay that much. I guess that's where I draw the line too because I came home empty handed.

Because I would always smell a strong mysterious alcohol scent when I open the refrigerator. I eventually figure to sniff the brita filter container filled with water and it whaffs of vodka. Later I asked my housemate about it and she said the brita filter filters out the taste of vodka to make it taste smooth. It looks like she drinks a glass of it a night base on the amount in the brita every night.😵
I've actually heard of doing that. Supposedly makes a cheap brand taste more like a high end brand. Like turning Crystal Palace into Grey Goose.

I've been seeing more cars with their emergency blinkers on the interstate and I saw two of them in town with theirs on sitting on the side of the road Friday. Must be this whacko weather.

Probably the wind if it's as windy there as it is here. It's a lot more noticeable in a boxy shaped vehicle at higher speeds.

Yea, probably. My car has been fine so far. 😆
Yeah, I don't really notice it in either of my cars either. My truck and my wife's SUV it's definitely noticeable though. The box trucks at work get blown all over the place by wind gusts, especially when they're empty. I guess cars are more aerodynamic and lower to the ground.

There's been some nights lately when I'm driving straight into the wind at work the truck won't even get above like 60mph.

It might. Depends. I've always been surprised by how well those charging ports hold up over time. They seem pretty flimsy but I've never had one die on me. It very well could just be the cable. Though if it's an iPhone, it might be different.

The port on my last phone ended up wearing out. First time I've had it happen. I try to wireless charge my current one to save on the wear and tear on the port. Although I've read wireless charging is harder on the battery.

Unfortunately, my phone doesn't have wireless charging. I think there's a way you can add a coil under your case and plug it into your charging port but I just haven't gotten around to it. I'll have to get all the measurements right so it doesn't block my fingerprint sensor and the cord isn't too long. Annoyingly, I might have to trim some of my case away if I do that so I will have enough room to unplug the coil if I need to use a USB drive or something. And it still might not work. My case might be too thick.

If you get a wireless charger make sure to read the description and reviews on it about the size of your phone and your case to make sure it'll work with them. I have a Galaxy S21 Ultra with an Otterbox Defender case, which is about as big of a combination as there is and there are chargers that will work.

Im curious about [them]. They were on SAS like, years and years ago. They were a mechanic from the midwest but I can't even remember their name. It's weird what memories pull up sometimes.

Is it Username removed you're thinking of? I remember he was a mechanic from the Midwest. Hasn't posted in years now.

I clean around the machines at a tire factory with all this heat surrounding me. I should've gotten a half off discount. 😆 Just kidding.

Are you sure you don't? One of the guys from my gym works at the local tire factory here and he gets something like 40% off of that brand with a limit of how many he can buy in a year. He told me he could get me a set at that price. Haven't taken him up on it yet, but definitely going to for my next set.

We get discounts at certain places with my work and you have to get online and look them up. Haven't tried using any yet.
