When I was in college I took the exams offered by the Seattle Police Department. I passed the physical tests, and boy were they a joke. I had to do like 30 sit-ups and 15 push-ups. The hardest thing is you have to jog 1.5 miles or so, but they give you sooooo much time to do it. If you walked fast you could probably make it in time. So, I wouldn't worry about the physical tests too much.
As for the polygraph, you should probably admit that stuff upfront so you don't have to worry about it. If it's too late for that, would you believe that the accuracy rating for lie detectors is in the 50-70% range? I had a couple of different college textbooks that mentioned that. Hollywood sure makes us think it's 100%.
