I'm sorry, but a computer from even two years ago isn't worth $250 bucks to me. Nope. I think you need to step into a fiery pit if you are trying to sell a used computer with 80 GB and 512 MB for anything more than $150. You can get a brand new computer with 500 GB and nearly ten times the memory for around $500 now.

This is just the beginning when it comes to Craigslist. I am slightly guilty, but I'm not selling a computer. I'm selling a bike that I actually invested money into, as well as musical equipment. Both are things that don't become outdated nearly as fast as a Dell computer does. For all I know I am buying a computer that still has tons of sick porn and viruses stashed away somewhere on it. I don't care how much you paid for it 3 years ago. It's a Dell from 3 years ago. It's basically garbage now.

A lot of people overcharge for used aquariums. I've seen threads where they make fun of this on fish forums. I've seen ads where they claim that they only used it for a short time. It is still used. Why should someone pay a similar price to a new aquarium, when it could leak? The chances of a aquarium breaking or leaking increases with age and other factors.

Someone, from where my dad works, was selling a 90 gal for $400 on craigslist. I've heard of used 250 gals going for less than that. I set up my 75 for about $500 and everything was new and had warranties. She didn't list what kind of filtration or lighting it came with, so I can only assume that it was nothing special. She didn't make the claim that it was new, though. I guess since the ads are free, you might as well see how high of a price you can get.

I usually try to sell thing for a little bit cheaper than what they go for at retail. That way it will get sold faster.
