Ok, this is an oldie but it is still one of my favorites. I did it when I was 17 and
BIG SURPRISE :shock ...never finished it.

I know..I know. :blush

awww :squeeze

I have made up faces to draw and stuff but I really enjoy trying to capture the likeness of something or someone. The horse I saw in a picture but it was wearing a bridle and I decided to draw it without one. Just looks freer I think. :)


BTW, it's hard to grasp size in these pics but this drawing is actually about 27" by 18"

That's really beautiful. Personally, I prefer the drawings that are 'partial' .. the ones that seem to fade, or look kind of incomplete.

Wow. I really like it. Somehow, you've managed to capture that wise/sad/dumb gaze I've seen on horses.

Thanks quietstorm. No it's not watercolor. It was done in pastel which is a kind of colored chalk. :)
