I'm only a casual baseball fan, but I've always liked Palmeiro and it is a shame to see that he was doing stuff. It seriously tarnishes his career. He will easily get into the Hall, but I'm afraid this is what people are going to remember about him.NEW YORK (AP) -- Rafael Palmeiro was suspended 10 days Monday following a positive test for steroids, less than five months after the Baltimore Orioles first baseman emphatically told Congress: ``I have never used steroids. Period.''
The 40-year-old Palmeiro became the highest-profile player among the seven who have failed a test under the toughened major league policy that took effect in March, rules criticized by Congress as not being stringent enough.
