Hi guys,

I work p/t as a customer service rep at a medical company. I am scheduled to work tomorrow and Saturday, but am at home today with a sever cold and slight fever. I am afraid to call my boss today and let her know I won't be in tomorrow. I tried to text another co worker to see if he could work for me, but my boss wouldn't let him as he could do only a half day.

Does anyone else get like this? I hate confrontation and am thinking of just emailing and texting to say I have laryngitis and cannot call. Should I just call today, or maybe text? How do you guys handle this? I hate confrontation and speaking to people, especially supervisors.

The best thing to do would be to call her. That way they'd be able to respond quickly with you. :') It's nerve wrecking as heck but it's best to get on with it because your boss needs to find someone to cover your shift. Hope it works out. :)
