I'm also in canada. I don't have a family doc, so a couple of months ago I went into a private clinic in my neighbourhood in hopes of getting some meds. The doctor didn't wanna listen to me or help me, said he can't help me and referred to a psychiatrist...thing is it would take close to a year on a waiting list to see a psy.
So I tried ordering meds online. With my luck, it got seized at customs and I never got it.
So today I went to see another Doc at a different private clinic. This one listened to what I had to say, asked me questions and prescribed what I wanted. He was impressed how I knew so much about these meds, dosage, potential risks ect...because I had done alot of reading on this forum and on the web. So I got Rx for Xanax and Inderal.
It depends on your Doc. Just talk to him and explain your situation. I'd say odds are very low you get a Doc that won't help you, I was unlucky my first time.
