I was just wondering what happened to my avatar?

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't object to (and as I assume happened in this case) remove an avatar where a male and a female were kissing, so why is it that you would remove one where a female & female were kissing? It's just discrimination if you would allow a male and a female, yet not a female & female. It's discrimination against sexuality.

I've just the read the guidelines on avatars, and they state this:

Photos, Pictures and Avatars
The posting of images containing graphic violence, pornography, or otherwise offensive or distressing material is not permitted. The posting of links to such images is not permitted. All photos, pictures or avatars involving a human being, male or female, must submit to the following guidelines. No nudity or see through clothing with nothing on underneath. Posting any pornographic photos will result in an immediate ban.
It did not contain violence, it was not porn and two women kissing isn't offensive or distressing, so i'm still quite confused.

I'm not a mod.

I have no objection to your old avatar. But i know that alot of people with social anxiety want to forget about sexual things half the time.

It was a little eye catching and "saucy".

Maybe thats why they took it down.

Its not like it matters really, its just a picture on some anxiety forums....

I'm just a bit confused, because we're all adults here and can handle seeing two people kissing, whatever the orientation, I don't see why that should matter at all.

It wasn't meant to be saucy, as in, that's not why I put it up. I put it up because I love those two as a couple, and I see no issue with them kissing. Just because two women kiss it doesn't automatically mean "sexy lesbian" or something similar.

Well i guess its up to the people that run the forum. I'm ok with stuff like that, but if there was a poll done about it, who knows?

There is opposition to alot of things in life, and maybe someone complained about it to the mods?

You'll just have to post on the forums somewhere (like general discussion) about these kind of issues. Good luck.

I've just updated my first post with the guidelines that I read about avatars.

I just don't see how there is any room for intolerance or homophobia (if that's what it is) in today's society. We don't want to promote hate, we want to promote love.

But thanks for replying :)

And i'm not having a go at you mods, I just want to know the reason.

We have a few minors here, so I guess they have to keep the site PG.

Are there? I'm sure it was meant to be an adults only site when I joined up (either that or it was another site I was looking at, but I could have sworn it was adults only).

I've seen some users with the age 15 on there. So as they are under 18, i guess the site is responsible for any content it has on it.

We have members as young as 13. We did received a complaint about the somewhat graphic nature of the avatar in question. The complaint was not that it was 2 women kissing but that the 2 women appeared to be topless. It was a bit risque for our PG-13 rating.
