Activision logo By the look of all the announcements that Activision recently made around its "[Insert instrument/artist] Hero" music game line, it would seem that they expect 2009 to be the year of the music game. Could be I suppose, but I can't shake the feeling that they might be going for quantity over quality here. Of course I'm putting the cart before the horse since none of these games have seen the light of day yet. Admittedly I could also be letting my bitterness get the best of me.

I'm sorry Activision. I know that you are busy and that you are probably not dismissing my Accordion Hero: the Weird Al Years idea out of hand. Its time will eventually come and so I'll wait my turn...All you players out there are anxiously waiting for this too I suspect, but until you can lay it all on the line in a boss battle against Weird Al, check out the Activision music games you will be seeing soon. Descriptions, where there were available are courtesy of Activision's press release.
