Hi there,
I'd been on 30 mg Prozac/fluoxetine for 18 years with absolutely no side effects and went off about 6 months ago when I found it that ssri's were implicated in bone loss. I became so depressed, I started back on 20 mg fluoxetine and never felt quite good again until my doctor suggested I try celexa 20 mg. Just before I went onto celexa (which helped my depression tremendously), i started experiencing a metallic/salty taste in my mouth. Thinking it might be related to the prozac, I began taking celexa, but the taste has persisted and I really can't stand it - gum chewing all the time helps keep it tolerable.
Any experience, strength or hope out there that this might pass?
Thanks!
