Ive always loved MGS games... I love the way they blend fantasy with a military game(vampires, robot ninjas, bee soldier, spider soldier etc) And Big Boss from Snake Eater is the coolest commando ever, maybe even one of the coolest video game character since Sephiroth. his CQC style is so awesome looking... and Snake Eater also has a sad ending....*spoilers*

You end up killing your mentor and friend, Boss, she defects over to the terrorists, and the fight/death scene is really sad.

Yea all 3 MGS rock. #1 was still my favourite tho. I found it fun to run around cloaked and punch people in the face lol. #3 was fun to go on killing sprees with the shotgun and see how far they would fly. #2 the first half was ok 2nd half kinda sucked.

I've been a fan since the nes Metal Gear :)

I haven't played the more recent games though(only up to Metal Gear Solid 2) Hopefully i can soon try The Twin Snakes and Snake Eater...they look pretty good :)

I didn't like MGS2 that much though...

#2 the first half was ok 2nd half kinda sucked.

I've enjoyed all of the MGS games on the ps and ps2. The ending for MGS3 way, way, way, excruciatingly over the top. I know the MGS games are going to be a little lame no matter what, but a lot of that ending was too lame for my taste, but the boss scene/battle was awesome.

I got MGS3 about three weeks ago. I'm at the Boss battle vs. "The End". It's a great game. I find it more challenging than MGS2, but I really liked MGS2. I felt I had more control of things, and I miss Raiden's thermal goggles and samurai sword. MGS2's storyline may have been too complicated for its own good, but some of the scenes are still incredibly beautiful. I loved that cut-scene of the big shell at dusk with its blinking lights. I also loved shooting seagulls with my PSG.

MGS3 is cool because it allows for more "stealth" strategy, with it's more open areas and different places to hide.

the first was the best

I love all of the characters concept designs--very original stuff, actually shinkawa (the artist who created them) is a huge inspiration for me he's a genius. In my opinion the first one was the best, eye candy is always good, but the fist metal gear had a great (sometimes cheesy) intense storyline. That is why i think it was the best one. I also believe it was increably innovative during the time--the new games have improved on the framework of the game, but have not done anything awe-inspiring gameplay wise.
