I've been shy since birth, I know that. Both of my parents are this way and the gene was passed on to me. I've tried everything to conquer this invisible disability. My last hope is that someday, hopefully in my lifetime, with all the advancements in gene research, that scientists will actually isolate this evil little gene. They now know that it is a gene which is passed on by parents, and my only hope is they don't stop looking.

I hope they find the gene that makes us get SAD. Shyness in general is just a personality trait and I don't think it's bad to be shy. There have always been shy people and outgoing people.
