Come on people, Lost comes on and no one is talking about it. I couldn't even talk about the show with my brother. He got in trouble right before he was going to watch Lost and he had to go to bed early.

So what did you guys think of the show yesterday? That tunnel thing was scary. And that one guy that Jack ran into at the end, were they on the plane together? And what is up with Walt? I know he was kidnapped and everything but did Shannon really see him? I think she did but what was up with the "shhh" thing Walt did? Was he trying to escape or something? What do you guys think?

I thought it was awesome. The thing in the hatch was definitely not what I was expecting. I'm thinking that it must've been down in there before the plane crash. It's VERY weird that Jack met that guy, and then the thing at the end happened. (I'm trying very hard not to say too much here, lol, in case someone hasn't seen it yet.) Maybe Walt was able to send Shannon some kind of psychic message. People who watch the show have always said he has weird abilities, like maybe making the polar bear appear. It seemed like he might've been trying to warn her about something.
I can't wait until next week. That's when we're supposed to find out what happened to the guys on the raft.

(3) Why they're all around the same age?

The guy in the hatch is the same guy who was running at the stadium while Jack was there and who helped him after he fell and hurt his ankle. I think Walt is under the control of the others now, his thoughts and actions are controlled by them. Vincent was probably lured out into the woods because he sensed Walt and that's what led Shannon to him. The hatch was definately not what I expected either. This guy has probably been down there for a long time, where did he come up with all this fancy electronic equipment? I wonder if he was controlling that thing that tried to pull Locke underground during the first season. Still no clue as to where Ethan fits into this whole thing. Right now I don't think the guy in the hatch is one of the others...he might just be some nutjob that was exiled to the island and locked up. I think Locke is getting a little reckless, the way he kept lowering Kate into the hole even when she didn't want to.
I was wondering what everyone else thought too but I was afraid to start another thread on it. I thought it was pretty good. I've been reading some of the previews for next week's episode, looks like we will find out what happened to the survivors on the raft.

I wasn't expecting THAT in the hatch. Despite the dated innards, Desmond couldn't have been down there that long. Jack met him a few years ago, afterall, yeah? There was also more than one bed, and two-player games, so who else is/was there? Hrmm...

Maybe there's more to the "race around the world" comment that Desmond made to Jack. A literal race of people, perhaps. Maybe I'm thinking too much into this :lol But I AM certain the guy who died in the ER next to Sara was Shannons dad. They're all proving to be very connected.

Can't wait for next week.

It was a great premiere. :bananaSpoiler WarningThey faked me out in the beginning. I thought I was watching a flashback untill I realized there was a guy in the hatch. Walt looked pretty freaky like he was possessed or something. Hmm. I can't wait till next week to see what Jack has to say to Desmond(who happens to be the guy Jack went running with in the baseball stadium for those that don't know.)

Yes, the Lost thread is finally here. Yeah, the season premiere was great. I can't wait for next weeks episode. The show just keeps on getting wierder and wierder, I'm addicted. opcorn Can't wait to see what happened to the guys on the raft.

I went back and watched it again today and one thing that was weird was when Desmond told Jack that he'll see him in another world, and now on the island, they are pretty much in another world.

Also, that lady Sarah from the hospital, is/was she Jack's wife or are those two completely unrelated to each other?

Great way to start off the 2nd season. I thought the opening scene was a flashback and was beginning to wonder what the purpose was of showing him preparing for his day :lol.

I heard an audio clip of what Walt was saying and you can kind of make out what he says. Highlight the following space if you want to know, I tried to use a light color to blend in with the background.

I thought it was a great episode. I wonder what Desmond was injecting himself with and the Mamas and the Papas, Make Your Own Kind of Music playing and the 1960's type main frame computer equipment....sort of reminds me of the old TV series The Prisoner. I hope it ends up making more sense than that show. :lol

I wanted to see too I really thought the bald guy, whatever his name is, was a little too eager to push the button. In the first season he seemed wise and kind, now he seems a little nutty. They didn't explain his motivation to my satisfaction. After all, he didn't find god in the hatch, just an old computer. You'd think he would be a little disappointed.
