Hello any of you free weight lifters: if you are not dieting and eating the same and you start lifting free weights, why would your clothes get tighter?

I've ony been free weight lifting for 2 weeks and I've noticed that my clothes seem tighter?

Free weights are more effective at building muscles. If you don't want to build muscle lift lighter weights.
I can do that; it is true that I have been working my legs with relatively heavy weights. I just wanted to tone, not build.

With my upper body, I can only lift light weights, but I already do lots of reps, and the tightness is in my lower body--so that makes a lot of sense.

I know I could lower my calorie count a bit! :b

Thanks for the response! :thanks
