well i'm applying for uni this year but i'm terrified of the public speaking part and was wondering if i should tell my uni if i get in.
Did any of you tell your teachers that you did and did it help??? Thanks

My professors do not know. It's been pretty bad since my school is not what I am used to (academic lectures) and tries to build community through a lot of dialouge in the classes and "getting to know one another."

However, I talked to my RA (who is getting her MA in psychology) and she said that I could go to Student Affairs and talk to someone to see if we could work it out. I'm sure other schools are the same way.

Most teachers I've told have been very understanding. I only tell them when I need to though, it's not something I like to just throw out there.
